Why when enter prepayment under AP , there is not allow us to add finance charges

I’m not sure what version you are on. We are on 2021 R2. I see that you have Prepayment Type setup in your image. The help file states this,
“This tab contains a list of the finance charges applied to the payment by the bank for processing. For details, see Registration of Finance Charges.
Finance charges cannot be specified for refunds and debit adjustments. To add finance charges to a prepayment, specify them on the check that pays the prepayment request.”
There is a lot more information in the Registration of Finance Charges Help information.

Hi,
This does not work when allocating a prepayment against the bill at a later stage.
It is greyed out.
It works when opening a Bill and clicking Pay.
