In Acumatica, the version lifecycle is separate from the customer contract period.

Once Acumatica 2024 R2 reaches its retirement date (May 5, 2026), it becomes an unsupported version, even if the customer’s contract remains active until June 24, 2026.

While the system will continue to function, the following limitations apply after retirement:

No bug fixes or patches

No security updates

Limited or no support for version-specific issues

Hi @nasir thank you so much for your information. I just want to make sure about penalties, it will send to customer after the contract expired right? So before 24 June 2026, my customer didn’t get the penalties. Because I think my customer will upgrade the version on June 2026.

@lutfi15

Our Acumatica service provider has informed us that Acumatica now enforces a Retired Version Premium (RVP) fee.Per this policy, an additional 25% surcharge will be applied if you renew your license while running a retired (end-of-support) version of Acumatica.

If you are scheduled to renew your license in June 2026 and remain on version 2024 R2 at that time, you may be charged this extra 25% RVP fee.I don’t know whether it is  possible to negotiate with Acumatica to waive or reduce this additional cost.
Our license will be expired in Sep,2026. So we meet the same situation as you.

Thank you so much @ray20 for this kind information. I think I must make sure to Acumatica about this. So my customer can prepare well about this.

If you have access to the Partner Portal I’d recommend the following actions.  All these screens are under the Customer Success workspace

  • Search for the Product Release Life Cycle screen as it has a detailed FAQ section towards the bottom that outline the impacts of being on an unsupported version
  • Search for the Retired Version Premium FAQs
  • If there is a compelling reason why the customer has not upgraded, you can submit a Concession case request to Acumatica.
