Recurring required On-site visit of customers set to quarterly schedule

Our sales department is required to visit all their customers every quarter to check on how they are doing and see if they need anything. The salesperson creates a trip report on who he or she visited, what topics were discussed, any quotes or orders, and if there are any other changes for the customer.

We currently don’t use Acumatica for any of this process but would like to implement so there is internal tracking on when a visit is due, the details of the trip, and quotes or other opportunities the on-site visit might have achieved. We need show up as a required event for all customers and to reoccur every quarter. This is not a contract, just something we want our salespeople to practice as a routine.

Is there a way already designed to set up a recurring task and to track when these are due/overdue throughout the year, every year?

I’ve been trying to read up on activities, tasks, leads, and opportunities, but I didn’t notice anywhere that I could select that the event never ends.

You could create support cases using an import scenario based on a udf indicating the last sales contact for the customer. And when the case is closed, use a business event and import to update the last contact date.  We had something similar at my previous employer to ensure each customer was contacted each quarter.
