Issues with Compliance in 24R2?

Forum|alt.badge.img

We just upgraded to 24R2 and are having issues trying to create a compliance line for insurance under the customer. This has never been an issue before. When trying to save the following warning is given:

This is directly under the customer record and there are no other compliance lines listed for this customer. Has anyone else run into this and how did you fix it? Thanks!

Hello @mnecaise ,

Acumatica preventing creation of the duplicate records of the Compliance documents based on the listed Key fields in your error massage (+ Document Type, it’s missed in the message, but from my expirience it’s also counted), but the Customer field is not one of them and does not counted in this verification, so the similar record can exist in your data, but you don’t see it on the Customer record since the duplicate line has either not selected Customer there, or selected different Customer. I’d suggest that you go to the ‘Compliance Management’ screen and search for the record with the same values in these key fields and make a difference in at least one field if you need them both, or select a Customer value there, if it's a duplicate.

Hope this helps!

@valentynbeznosiuk Thank you for your response. However, this was never an issue until we upgraded to 24R2. We have several compliance lines that contain similar information, but they are linked to different customers or projects. We’ve been using compliance since October of 2023 and this is the first time there has been a problem with creating a new record. For the error received we are getting it on every “insurance” compliance line we are trying to enter on the customer record. It doesn’t matter what customer it is, or if they have any other compliance lines linked, we keep getting the error.  It doesn’t happen on the Project record, only when we try and enter without a project linked (customer or compliance management).

@mnecaise If I'm not mistaken, a change there happened in 24R1. And a Customer value is not a key value for this verification, so you already have a line with the same values in the following fields, but with different values in the Customer field, the system will count them as duplicates.

When you are trying to create a new line on the Compliance Management screen and receive an error, try to filter the grid using the values you entered in the columns listed above to see if there are any other lines with the same key values.

It doesn't happen for the Project, because Project is a key field, and if you don’t have any other Insurance lines for this project, no matter what other values would be, this line will be unique.

I’d suggest you add some unique values to the line you're creating, i.e., Policy or Document Category (it can be set up on the Compliance Preferences screen on the ‘Custom Attributes’ tab).
