Training Description: This webinar is based on a set of examples that demonstrate the general approach to customizing Acumatica ERP. It is designed to give you ideas about how to develop your own embedded applications through the customization tools. It demonstrates the implementation of actions and the customization of existing actions of Acumatica ERP, as well as the implementation of the commands and buttons on the UI that are associated with these actions. As you go through the course, you will continue the development of the customization for the cell phone repair shop, which was performed in the T200 Maintenance Forms, T210 Customized Forms and Master-Detail Relationship, and T220 Data Entry and Setup Forms training courses (which we recommend that you take before completing the current course).

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over two days as follows:

• Day 1: Define an Action and the Associated Button on the Form and Table Toolbars. In this session, you will learn how to create an action, the associated button on the form toolbar, and the equivalent command on the More menu and how to configure the availability and visibility of the button and command depending on field values on the form. You will also learn how to specify the location of a button associated with an action on a form.
• Day 2: Implement an Asynchronous Operation. Define a Link to an Acumatica ERP Entity. In this session, you will learn how to implement an asynchronous operation by using the PXLongOperation class and how to define a link to an Acumatica ERP entity on a form.

Partner Certification: This webinar is based on the materials of the T230 Actions course, which is part of the Application Developer badge. Completion of this class does not give you an automatic completion of the related course at Partner University; you will still need to complete the exam at Partner University.

*To provide a virtual machines (VM) for attendees, we need to generate a registration report, deploy the VMs, and send out the credentials. Instructor: Artem Altukhov

In his first 3 years in Acumatica, Artem Altukhov worked as a Quality Assurance engineer. He was responsible for automation testing of the Financial modules of Acumatica ERP and also improving internal QA tools.  

He then switched duties to become an application developer and for the last 3 years, Artem has been gaining knowledge of Acumatica ERP and experience in Acumatica Framework. During this time, Artem Altukhov has also successfully developed new functionality and delivered bugfix integrations, using his quality. Currently, he develops solutions for Acumatica ERP – Commerce Edition.

Acquiring experience at the intersection of Quality Assurance and Application Development, provides a unique opportunity to both develop new functionality and perform quality assurance activities.

Artem Altukhov actively participating in mentoring new developers. His expertise allows him to assist other application developers and QA engineers as well as sharing experience with developers from the perspective not only software developer, but also of quality assurance.

Prerequisites­

• You should complete the T200 Maintenance Forms, T210 Customized Forms and Master-Detail Relationship, and T220 Data Entry and Setup Forms courses and be familiar with the basic concepts of Acumatica Framework.
• You should have proficiency with C#, knowledge of main concepts of ASP.NET and web development, and experience with SQL server.

Advance Preparations: None. Attendees will have access to the virtual machine with the pre-installed Acumatica ERP cloud instance and tenant for training purposes.
