T220 Data Entry and Setup Forms

Training Description: This webinar is based on a set of examples that demonstrate the general approach to customizing Acumatica ERP. It is designed to give you ideas about how to develop your own embedded applications through the customization tools. As you go through the course, you will continue the development of the customization for the cell phone repair shop, which was performed in the T200 Maintenance Forms and T210 Customized Forms and Master-Detail Relationship training courses (which we recommend that you take before completing the current course).

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over four days as follows:

• Day 1: Configuring a Complex Form Layout. Part I. In this session, you will learn how to align controls on a form, adjust the size of controls and labels, and adjust a control to span several columns.
• Day 2: Configuring a Complex Form Layout. Part II. In this session, you will learn how to configure the form view of a grid and how to add a substitute form with a shared filter to the customization project.
• Day 3: Data Entry Form. In this session, you will learn how to copy the field values from one record to another record by using event handlers.You will also learn how to validate the value of a field that depends/does not depend on the values of other fields of the same record.
• Day 4: Setup Form. In this session, you will learn how to create and use setup forms where users enter the configuration settings of the application and how to configure the auto-numbering of a field value.

Partner Certification: This webinar is based on the materials of the T220 Data Entry and Setup Forms course, which is part of the Application Developer badge. Completion of this class does not give you an automatic completion of the related course at Partner University; you will still need to complete the exam at Partner University.

*To provide a virtual machines (VM) for attendees, we need to generate a registration report, deploy the VMs, and send out the credentials. Varthini Bhaskaran supports our ISV partners in creating and maintaining solutions in addition to providing valuable insights to the engineering teams in product improvement. Varthini has awareness of various domains through the partners she works with and the most coveted features by the end user. Working with Acumatica for the past year, she has created various customizations to assist our partners in implementing their use-case with speed and efficiency. Additionally, validating users for the certifications of ISV solutions she is knowledgeable in the platform provided by Acumatica and the best practices in using them.

Varthini has been a software analyst for Version Data services for 4 years, where she played a dual role as a scrum master and as a full stack developer creating single-page applications using the MEAN stack, in the telecommunications domain. She also has hands-on experience on the cloud and continuous Integration and continuous development pipelines working on modernization projects.

In addition, Varthini has been the president of the Project management club during her MBA in Concordia University and has hosted events to encourage the use of Project Management in all walks of business.

Prerequisites­

• You should complete the T200 Maintenance Forms and T210 Customized Forms and Master-Detail Relationship courses and be familiar with the basic concepts of Acumatica Framework.
• You should have proficiency with C#, knowledge of main concepts of ASP.NET and web development, and experience with SQL server.

Advance Preparations: None. Attendees will have access to the virtual machine with the pre-installed Acumatica ERP cloud instance and tenant for training purposes.
