T210 Customized Forms and Master-Detail Relationship

Training Description: This webinar is based on a set of examples that demonstrate the general approach to customizing Acumatica ERP. It is designed to give you ideas about how to develop your own embedded applications by using the customization tools. As you go through the webinar, you will continue development of the customization for the cell phone repair shop, which was started in the T200 Maintenance Forms training course.

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over four days as follows:

• Day 1: Adding Custom Fields. In this session, you will learn how to add a custom column to an Acumatica ERP database table, add a custom field to an Acumatica ERP data access class, and add the control for the custom field to the form.
• Day 2: Master-Detail Relationship and Business Logic. In this session, you will learn how to define the master-detail relationship between data and how to implement automatic numbering of detail records.
• Day 3: Defining the Business Logic. In this session, you will learn how to restrict the possible values of a field by using the PXRestrictor attribute, mark localizable messages in code, update the fields of records on update of a field. You will also learn how to add a custom data view for an Acumatica ERP form, create a custom tab on an Acumatica ERP form, and conditionally hide a custom tab on an Acumatica ERP form.
• Day 4: Calculations and Insertion of a Default Record. In this session, you will learn how to use the PXFormula attribute for calculations and how to add a default detail record to the grid.

Partner Certification: This webinar is based on the materials of the T210 Customized Forms and Master-Detail Relationship course, which is part of the Application Developer badge. Completion of this class does not give you an automatic completion of the related course at Partner University; you will still need to complete the exam at Partner University.

*To provide a virtual machines (VM) for attendees, we need to generate a registration report, deploy the VMs, and send out the credentials. Instructor: Dmitrii Naumov

Dmitrii has joined Acumatica in 2014 as an Application Developer. Later Dmitrii switched to Technical Account Manager role. In this role the focus was to help Acumatica partners get up to speed with the Framework and provide an insight into the product development. That allowed Dmitrii to get familiar with all areas of the Acumatica framework and to work on developing internal developer knowledge base. 

Now Dmitrii is in charge of technological support, architectural guidance and certification of ISV partners. 

Prior to Acumatica Dmitrii worked on implementation of assets and inventory management systems. 
 

Prerequisites­

• You should complete the T200 Maintenance Forms course and be familiar with the basic concepts of Acumatica Framework.
• You should have proficiency with C#, knowledge of main concepts of ASP.NET and web development, and experience with SQL server.

Advance Preparations: None. Attendees will have access to the virtual machine with the pre-installed Acumatica ERP cloud instance and tenant for training purposes.
