Acumatica ERP version: 2023 R1

Training Description: This webinar introduces the basic functionality of the Acumatica Customization Platform and explains how to use its customization tools.

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over three days as follows:

  • Day 1: Preparing for Customization and Customizing Acumatica ERP for Business Process Support. In this session, you will learn how to create the customization project, and how to add and update a generic inquiry to a customization project. You will also learn how to use the Element Inspectorr to open a form in the Screen Editor, add a field to a form, configure the added field's properties in the Screen Editor, publish the customization project, and test the added field.
  • Day 2: Customizing Screens. In this session, you will learn how to organize the elements on a form by using layout rules, add an action to a form as a button on the form toolbar and a command on the More menu, and test the buttons and commands associated with the added actions. Moreover, you will define different kinds of conditions on the Conditions page and specify conditions for properties of a UI element.
  • Day 3: Managing Customization Projects. In this session, you will learn how to define an attribute for a user-defined field, add the user-defined field to a form and to the customization project, add new elements, and specify the properties of the added elements. You will also learn how to create a deployment package of the Yogifon customization project, apply the Yogifon customization project to the staging environment, create a new customization project, and publish two customization projects simultaneously.

*To provide a cloud instance for attendees, we need to generate a registration report and perform some activities to deploy the instance and send out the credentials. All this takes time and we have to do it several hours before the webinar. So we highly recommend not leaving the registration up to the last minute of the webinar start. Everyone who registers after 6 AM PT of Day 1 session will not receive the link to the cloud instance and credentials for it and will have to attend a webinar in a view-only format.

Partner Certification: This webinar is based on the materials of the W140 Customization Projects course. Completion of this webinar does not give you an automatic completion of the related course at Partner University; you will still need to complete the exam at Partner University.

Instructors: Boravan Ung and Vignesh Ponnusamy

Boravan Ung

In his current role, Boravan is a Technical Account Manager (TAM) for the ISV team. His tasks involve working with ISV partners (Independent Software Vendors) to onboard them at the beginning of the implementation of their Acumatica Solution, provide support when they have inquiries and certify their Solution.

Prior to joining Acumatica, Boravan was an Application Support Analyst at Jesta I.S., where he helped partners implement their POS product for their customers. Before that, he worked as a Software Developer at Morneau Shepell (now LifeWorks) on their pension plan solution. 

In addition to software development, Boravan has experience in various roles ranging from application specialist to IT support in various fields such as banking, avionics, consulting firm and startup. 


Vignesh Ponnusamy

As a technical developer consultant, Vignesh aids partner developers to build their customizations and integrations. He works in various areas like, workflows engine, report designer, generic inquiries, APIs. He is an active participant in Acumatica community discussion forums, sharing his expertise and answering questions.

Prior to joining Acumatica, Vignesh worked in a few organizations as a developer and consultant. Throughout his career, Vignesh has been working with clients and organizations to assist them with the technical side of the business.

Prerequisites­

You should have common knowledge of Acumatica ERP and be familiar with its user interface.

Advance Preparations

None. Attendees will be provided with a cloud instance and tenant for training purposes.
