Side panel on QT and SO entry

Is there a possibility to add a side panel on sales quotes and sales orders to display the available

lot quantities for that items. We are using lot numbers for all electrical cable lengths in stock.

When adding the inventory ID the side panel should show the available lengths of cables that we have in stock.

For example: a customer calls and ask for 100 of a cable. If the side panel shows that a length of 95 m is available, he most likely will accept that quantity. Currently you have to open another GI screen, search for that item and confirm the available length. it would be much faster if you don’t have to leave the QT or SO screen and get the information from the side panel.

Kind regards,

@fjm61 This is possible but currently only via the route of a customization package.

There is another topic which touches on this and may be of assistance if you try to create your own:

Hi @fjm61,

This is a popular request - to be able to access stock availability as a side panel while in a transaction, such as Sales Order entry.  We have this on our Product Backlog pending platform changes that would be needed to support this capability.

Pre-defined Side Panels were released in 22R2 featuring side panels in many lists and some offered in entry screens using summary-level information.  For example, you can now drilldown to Customer Details while working on the Sales Order for that customer.

We had a Community Meetup dedicated to Side Panels, where our community members shared some of their creative solutioning to support the scenario that you are interested in.
