Question

Ship Station integration to Acumatica 2024 R1

What functionality should I expect from the ShipStation integration? I’ve installed the customization, connected both systems within ShipStation, and started configuring ShipStation in Acumatica. However, I’m struggling to get orders to sync to ShipStation. What needs to be set up in Ship Via? Is a carrier required? I’ve reviewed the user guide from ShipStation but still can’t get the orders to sync. Additionally, will the "Shop for Rates" feature be available with this integration? I haven’t been able to find any clear resources on this—can you help?

We are seeing the connection on our end and shipstation is seeing our connection on their end however orders are not loading or syncing.

Have you had any luck with this yet? I am in the same spot with one of my clients. They are connected and configured, but no orders showing in ShipStation. We have not added Carriers yet in Acumatica, I will try this next as I assume it would be required to capture customer shipping account numbers as well.

Hi Darryl, We have not, we have reached out to have our acumatica integrator in direct discussion with ShipStation. As soon as I have an update I will post here.

I am an Acumatica Integrator, but we got very little information from ShipStation. They made it seem simple.

@Godro I was able to get orders to import to ShipStation, but only after running the Create Shipment function from within the Process Orders screen in Acumatica.  I guess it sorta makes sense, but you will also notice that the order number that imports is actually the Shipment Number from Acumatica.

It’s been a little while since we did it, but I can say that these instructions are spot on for getting the integration going.  What the Shipstation documentation is a little light on is the Acumatica side for getting orders flowing.  Some of the key things to make sure of are:

  • Make sure everything in the Shipstation Configuration screen is filled in, particularly the Ship Vias that you want to flow to Shipstation.
  • Understand if you’re going to have Orders or Shipments flow (I’m only familiar with Shipments).  And then keep in mind that, once they do start flowing to Shipstation, no matter which option you choose, they show as “Orders” in Shipstation (just terminology differences).
  • Review the Shipstation Mapping screen carefully.  It’s very powerful, especially being able to pass custom fields that you can then build Shipstation automations with.  We’re still on 23R1; I’m hoping they add some more custom fields in the future.
  • In Shipstation, in your store setup, be sure to setup your mappings between your Acumatica Ship Vias and the shipping services.
  • Read up on the scanning options within Shipstation (if you haven’t already).
