Our Distribution Center Operators keep reporting that certain Stock Items are being altered unexpectedly:

  • The Default Issue From Location is being removed
  • The Lot/Serial Class is being changed
  • The UOM and Conversions are being modified
  • etc.

When I check the Audit History, it always shows “last modified by admin,” but no one is acknowledging making any changes.

My questions:

  • Is there a way to drill down deeper than “admin” in the audit history to see which user or process actually made the change?
  • Could this be caused by an integration (SPS, import scenarios, etc.) or only by direct user edits?
  • What tools, logs, or setting should I be looking at in Acumatica to track down the source of these modification?

I’ve decided to turn on a more detailed audit history specifically for this part of the Stock Item screen. Rather than auditing every table tied to the screen, I used the Inspect Element tool to identify the exact tables that control the fields in question and set up auditing just on those.

This way I’ll be able to capture the details I need about who/what is making the changes without creating unnecessary system overhead.
