@carmelinem89 Remove the attribute values from all associated stock items, non-stock items, and template items wherever they are currently used. Once the values are no longer associated with any items, first attempt to deactivate them, and then try to delete them

It is bulk data can i use import scenario to delete

Hi @carmelinem89 ,

Yes, you can delete an attribute that has been set up in the Item Class Attributes tab.

Please follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the Item Class Attributes tab.
  • Locate the attribute you want to delete.
  • Clear the Active check box to deactivate the attribute.
  • Once the attribute has been deactivated, click Delete Row on the table toolbar to remove the attribute from the item class.

Note: If the attribute is currently being used by records in the system, you may need to remove those associations before deleting it.

Hope this helps!

Thank You,

Kasuni E

@carmelinem89,

Yes, you can delete an attribute from an Item Class, but it must be deactivated first.

Steps:

  1. Open Item Classes (IN201000) and select the item class.
  2. Go to the Attributes tab.
  3. Clear the Active checkbox for the attribute.
  4. Once the attribute is inactive, select the row and click Delete Row.

Important:

  • Active attributes cannot be deleted from an Item Class.
  • Deleting the row removes the attribute assignment from that Item Class only. It does not delete the attribute definition from the system.

In short: deactivate the attribute first, then delete the row.

This manual deletion is it posible to delete it through import scenario.

If you're referring to removing an Attribute from the Item Class > Attributes tab (IN201000), here's how it works in Acumatica:

Open Inventory > Configuration > Item Classes (IN201000).
Select the required Item Class.
Go to the Attributes tab.
If the attribute is Active, first clear the Active checkbox. Active attributes cannot be deleted from the class.
Save the record.
Select the attribute row again and click Delete Row (or use the Delete button on the grid toolbar).
Save the changes.
If the row still cannot be deleted

This usually means one of the following:

The attribute is still marked Active.
The attribute is being used by existing stock items in that item class.
The attribute is a Variant attribute for matrix items, and there are related template or matrix items using it. Variant attributes have additional restrictions before they can be removed.
If you want to delete the Attribute from the system completely

After removing it from all item classes and ensuring it is no longer referenced, you can delete it from the Attributes (CS205000) screen. Community guidance also recommends first removing the attribute from the Item Class before attempting to delete or modify the attribute itself.

Yes, this is related to removing an Attribute from the Item Class > Attributes tab (IN201000). However, since the data volume is large and needs to be processed in bulk, I am looking to remove the Attribute through an Import Scenario rather than manually removing it from each Item Class.

Can anyone help me with creating an Import Scenario for this?
