What is the best business practice for deciding who is the owner of the Business Account?  Is it the salesperson assigned to the Business Account?  Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hello @dougmcbride79 ,

Please consider that different types of Business accounts may need different owners.

I think you have the right idea with Customers - Salespersons often manage the Customer relationships and know the customers. Who manages the Vendor relationships at your company?

Procurement/Purchasing staff may be good candidates for ownership of Vendors. Vendor classes could further differentiate (identify) who might best manage and be responsible for different vendor relationships, such as Suppliers versus Utilities versus Attorneys.

Branch Business Accounts may not require an owner, or could be assigned to the Branch Managers within the organization.

For Business accounts that are neither customer, vendor or branch, we need to understand what kind of accounts , in order to make a recommendation.
