Auto Customer ID

Hi Acumatica Community,

At the time of customer creation , Customer ID is a mandatory field. Is there any settings to make this field system generated? I have got this requirement from user, they dont want to manually enter customer id, rather it should be a system generated chronological ID.

Hi @jparvez 

We can make this manual number using the Numbering sequence screen. Check the check box on the Manual Numbering screen

 

 

In the segmented key screen, Select the numbering ID which you make as Manual and the details section, uncheck the Auto Number checkbox

@jparvez - Also a quick comment. It is important to know if the customer wants to maintain their legacy Customer Numbering. If yes, they can import the existing Customers with Auto-Numbering turned off, and then bring new Customer with Auto-Numbering turned on as @manikantad18 explained above.
