Could I get some details on how and who to contact for EDI development for our customer. They have specific Vendors that require EDI, and we need to set it up for them. Thank you in advance! - Johanna

I’m currently vetting 3rd party EDI providers.  So I’m interested in your journey.  I don’t know what I don’t know.  We are moving to Acumatica from another ERP system to align with our corporate parent.  We have been using EDI for decades.  Before our company was purchased, we were perpetually under-capitalized, so we developed our own EDI solution for our ERP system.  It was a team effort between customer service, management, and me.  I did the actual development.  The basic concepts are simple:  It's like building with LEGO -- the blue brick goes here and the yellow brick goes there -- data has specific locations.  I don't know enough to know what would be needed to do the same with Acumatica.  Although nobody has said this specifically, there is a question of what would happen if I'm not here -- when/if I'm hired away, fired, retired, or expired.  That's why we're looking at 3rd party EDI partners.  The plan is to move to Acumatica next year, but that was said last year.  I can answer general EDI questions, so contact me -- I just won't have a specific Acumatica answer in the short term.  Also, questions will help me get acclimated to Acumatica and guide our EDI journey.  Thanks, Bruce.

You can use a tool called N8N to create automated EDI workflows. It’s a self-hosted low-code (virtually no-code) tool and it’s easy to configure it and train other users on how to use it.

If you could give some details on what data goes where I would be able to suggest some initial workflows in N8N

ive been using https://alluviaplatform.com/ for EDI. What i really appreciate about them is they tailor the workflow exactly the way i want it, and they are not publishing any bulky customizations like some of the other EDI partners. Any extra fields or workflow customizations i was able to handle.
