Is it possible for acumatica to automatically pull up the customer information and show it as a pop up ?

Our customer service team gets calls from customers who wants to place an order . We use acumatica to create purchase order and sales order .My question is ‘can an API be setup so that when receving a call from a customer , based on the customer contact number , Acumatica should automatically pull up the customer information and show it as a pop up in the acumatica screen. This will save some time since the customer service representative need not manually look/search for the customer in acumatica every time they get a call.  is it possible in acumatica ?

This is 100% possible - Lightspeed Voice has this as a standard feature (no customizations)

Hi @skumar98 if you mean out-of-the-box as system is, I don’t think you can. If you mean by customization, then it might be possible. The issue is any redirect is considered as a throw exception and redirect after redirect is going to be chalanging

Does your phone system have an API or where would the phone number be coming from?

Why doesn't the Teams integration do this? It can't be that hard.

@kyle90 Why would you say no customization is needed. The “Lightspeed Voice” link you provided is “a customization”. Isn’t it?

I would encourage you to reach out to Lightspeed if you want to know more about their product (I’m not the expert on their product)

I do know the feature @skumar98  is after is part of what they offer and it doesn’t require a customization project - they’re utilizing default APIs and the External Applications feature, the same way PowerBI integrates

@kyle90 anything outside Acumatica out-of-the-box functionality is a customization whether in ISV form or client specific code. Just some are more generic than others. I have a few of these generic ones myself tailored for construction but still are customization.

This appears to be using the Acumatica API from the LightSpeed environment, not the other way around.
