Hello!

Do any of you that use Payroll print multiple w2’s for multiple cities?  We have used Aatrix in the past but they say they can no longer do this because Acumatica is webbased.

Thank you!

I’ve seen this come up quite a bit with multi-city/local payroll setups, especially for companies operating across jurisdictions.

If the issue is generating separate W-2 reporting for different city taxes, there are payroll systems that handle that natively without relying on Aatrix reports that integrate with Acumatica. For example, Miter supports multi-local tax reporting and proper W-2 outputs across jurisdictions.

Happy to share more detail if helpful!

Hi @khowe86,

Acumatica Payroll (via Aatrix) does not currently support printing separate W-2 forms for multiple cities the way legacy desktop versions did. The W-2 output is controlled by the Aatrix integration, and multiple local taxes are generally reported in Boxes 18–20 as multiple locality lines rather than separate W-2 forms.

If Aatrix has confirmed they no longer support separate city W-2 printing in the web-based version, there is no native workaround in standard Acumatica Payroll. You would need to confirm compliance requirements with Aatrix or your partner and verify that the local tax setup is correctly mapping to Boxes 18–20.

hey @khowe86 ,
unfortunately, W2s cannot be printed. The embedded instance of Aatrix only supports efiling.

Local printing functionality is not given in any version of Acumatica PR. Acumatica partnered with Aatrix’s Web version of the Aatrix product, the web version does not allow for printing, or local efiling.

This was a massive pain point for some of my clients. The majority anticipate filing outside of Acumatica every year.

Thank you all for your comments.  This is a bummer.  We have many people that work in many cities and Aatrix has done this for years with Sage, and then with Acumatica.  I wish there was a way Aatrix could still do it. They made it easy.
