Restricting user access to Projects , Purchase orders and Purchase Receipts

A client of mine requires restricting access to projects for their project managers. They do have around 15 Project managers. Their access needs to be restricted for projects, Purchase orders and Purchase receipts.

I’m just struggling to think of the best way to handle this. I thought of restriction groups however not sure how to do that for 15 different people who require access to a single project or two, purchase orders raised for that project and can do purchase receipts for the project.

In the instance, a procurement manager raised a bulk purchase order for different projects at the line level these managers need to be able to pick up the relevant entry for their projects.

Any ideas ?

Hello,

Could the need be met with Restrict Employees feature of projects? Check the box then list employees who are allowed to use this project on the Employees tab. I’ve copied below the definition from the help which says the checkbox restricts “documents associated with” a project.  You will need to test and make sure PO’s are among the restricted documents; I would think so but they are not specifically named in the help definition.

We have this same request from a customer, however, we already have the restrict employees set up on the project and have found the Purchase Orders are not restricted.  Any ideas how we can restrict the POs related to the project for the employees who do not have access to this project?
