Hi ,

I have an expense which affects multiple projects. Can I enter one AP bill affecting multiple projects ?

Hello,

The answer depends on the following setting in AP Preferences. When Require Single Project per Document is selected ON, the project ID is located in the Header of AP and PO documents and we can only choose Task and Cost Code (optional) on the Detail lines.  When Require Single Project per Document is not selected, Project ID is not located in the header and we select Project, Task and Cost Code (optional) on the details lines.

Hello,

The answer depends on the following setting in AP Preferences. When Require Single Project per Document is selected ON, the project ID is located in the Header of AP and PO documents and we can only choose Task and Cost Code (optional) on the Detail lines.  When Require Single Project per Document is not selected, Project ID is not located in the header and we select Project, Task and Cost Code (optional) on the details lines.

@dsenevirathne54  @laura01  is correct.   The setting has moved up to the Data Entry Settings in 2022.  Make sure this box is cleared and you can enter multiple projects on your AP Bill.

I can’t find that setting “Require Single Project” on sales demo of 25 R1 in any section of Accounts Payable Preferences. Did it migrated again? Is it needed to tick something more for that in Enable/Disable features in Acumatica?

Yes, you are correct.  The Help documentation states that Project features must be turned on in Sales Demo, to see the Require Single Project per Document setting:

I have turned on these features on Enable/Disable Features:

i.e. project accounting is turned on, but I still don’t see that checkbox:

Yes, you are correct.  According to the Release notes for 2025 R1, p. 144, the Require Single Project per Document checkbox has been removed:
