Known Issue: The Project Accounting module stopped working on early morning 7/21/2025. Affected all customers who have The Project Accounting module.

 

Root cause: changes in the the license feature switches that was fixed as of 7 AM EST.

 

Actions needed: Hit the Update License button under the Activate License screen for this change to reflect immediately.

 

We recognize the disruption this has caused and extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience experienced

What does “ stopped working “ mean?  Is there an error?  What are the symptoms?  Thank you.

it was not version specific issue so all versions are affected. Symptoms are: Project accounting screens are unavailable, e.g. open Project applications screen, if it opens now, that means that the solution with update license was already applied by someone. 


Can you confirm if Acumatica sent a communication directly to the client regarding the Project Accounting module issue mentioned?

Communication was sent to partners only through partner support communication channel (same we use for support bulletins). 

Can you confirm if Acumatica sent a communication directly to the client regarding the Project Accounting module issue mentioned?

All customers who can’t access their project screens/project related fields on other screens need to perform the action described in the article above to bring the functionality back.

Hello Olessia,

Ever since this happened, and after updating their license, our customer is showing PROJECTS as a workspace instead of CONSTRUCTION.  Please let me know if you need screenshots. The customer does have a Construction License. How can we fix?

Would you please review the enabled/disabled status of the following features 

  1. Construction 
  2. Professional Services?

The following is expeсеd: 

  1. If Professional Services = TRUE and Construction = FALSE, then 
    1. Workspace name = Professional Services
    2. Workspace icon = image2024-12-6%2010%3A17%3A58.png?version=1&modificationDate=1733498278280&api=v2
  2. If Professional Services = FALSE and Construction = TRUE, then 
    1. Workspace name = Construction 
    2. Workspace icon = image2024-11-29%2016%3A44%3A27.png?version=1&modificationDate=1732916667557&api=v2
  3. If Professional Services = FALSE and Construction = FASLE, then
    1. Workspace name = Projects
    2. Workspace icon = image2024-11-29%2016%3A42%3A50.png?version=1&modificationDate=1732916570697&api=v2
  4. If Professional Services = TRUE and Construction = TRUE, then
    1. Workspace name = Professional Services
    2. Workspace icon = image2024-12-6%2010%3A17%3A58.png?version=1&modificationDate=1733498278280&api=v2

I’d recommend reporting a support case if it doesn’t explain the observed behavior.

Hello Adelina,

Thanks for the prompt response. Do you mean Profesional Services, or Project Accounting? I do not see a feature called “Professional Services”. Btw, client is on 24R1. Build 24.117.0035

However, in their Test tenant, they do see Construction.
