When using the Device Hub, what user do you use when is installed on a Server? Do you create a standard user, user it support or create one?

I typically will create a new user and give that user the admin role so that it does not run into permission issues. Creating a new user is probably best practice to separate it from the admin account.

Prerequisites

  1. Windows Environment

    • DeviceHub runs as a Windows service (works on both servers and desktops).

    • Ensure .NET Framework is installed (usually 4.6.2 or later).

  2. Acumatica ERP Instance

    • The ERP site must be accessible from the machine where DeviceHub is installed.

    • Proper tenant and login credentials are required.

  3. Device Drivers

    • The drivers for your printers, scales, or other devices must be installed and tested in Windows.

  4. Permissions

    • The user running the service needs permissions to access the devices (printers, scanners, etc.).
