Hello,

Hope you are doing well.

We have a Generic Inquiry with multiple lines, which require to be taken to an email body. The Email will be triggered by an Automation Schedule connected to a Business Event.

Also, we tried taking the results values to the mail body by adding Data Fields, but it requires defining as much as lines to cater all the lines on the Generic Inquiry results. Hence that did not work on us too.

Is there any method that we can use to add the results to the mail body?

Thank You

Hi @apallawala21

Please refer to the following handling methods:

Option 1 – Simplest, no customization (recommended)
Attach the Generic Inquiry results as a file (Excel or PDF) to the email triggered by the Business Event.
This is the standard and supported approach in Acumatica when the GI returns multiple rows, because email templates cannot loop through result sets.

Option 2 – Customization required
Create a custom DAC based on a SQL View that aggregates or summarizes the GI results into a single record (one row).
That single-row result can then be used in the email body. This approach requires customization and development effort.

Best Regards,

NNT

Hi @apallawala21 ,

Instead of trying to insert multiple GI result lines into the email body, we recommend attaching the Generic Inquiry results as a file. This approach is fully supported and avoids the limitation of handling multiple rows in email content.

Steps:

  1. Use a Business Event.

  2. Select Generic Inquiry as the event source.
