What is the best approach to accomplish the following:

  • User X is restricted to only be able to see Customers A, B, and C.
  • User Y is restricted to only be able to see Customers D, E, and F.
  • But all other users are unrestricted and can see all customers (A through F).

Hi @michaelho ,

Create two restriction groups (RG_Customers_ABC and RG_Customers_DEF) under System Management → Security → Restriction Groups. Assign customers A, B, C to RG_Customers_ABC and D, E, F to RG_Customers_DEF using the Objects tab with Customer as the object type. Add User X to RG_Customers_ABC and User Y to RG_Customers_DEF from the Users tab. Users not assigned to any customer restriction group remain unrestricted and can view all customers, as Acumatica enforces restrictions only for users who belong to restriction groups.

@Rakshanda my understanding is that customers assigned to restriction groups would NOT be visible to any users who are not assigned to those groups. Is that not the case?
