Thanks for your quick response!
I just want to confirm thought that if I take this approach I am only getting the Last Modifed User and Date for the User Records and Access Rights? I was looking for more of an audit history that you get when you turn on the Auditing for a screen. They would want to see every time a user or access right has been modified.
If you want all changes tracked, I would create a Customization that updates a new table if certain data changes. You could then use a GI on the new table and easily show all changes for a user or user making changes, depending on your parameters. You can set up a job to archive last updated records. Depending on your turnover, you may need to set up some table management - how long to keep records.
One issue would be if a Access Rights by Role changed, and not a User/User Role change. Your table could get a little cumbersome or you would need a secondary audit table for those changes.
Depending on the issue, it would be good to reset the baseline for all your users’ access and limit who has permissions to Users and Roles for better auditing in the future. On a prior ERP, I had to have supervisors log tickets to add/remove users’ access due to limitations in that system’s logging. We had a paper trail to follow then.
