Hello everyone! My name is James Harris, a Solutions Architect from Salt Lake City, Utah. My journey with Acumatica began in 2018 when our company was searching for a modern ERP solution to replace an outdated system. What started as a mission to find a better platform quickly turned into a deep, ongoing involvement—not just in implementing Acumatica, but in shaping how businesses leverage it for success.
With a background in IT, Project Management, and Military Networking Technologies, I spent years optimizing global tech stacks, progressing from Systems Engineer to IT Director. Over time, my experience evolved alongside Acumatica itself. I’ve led full-scale implementations across Manufacturing, Distribution, and Field Services, gaining hands-on expertise as the platform expanded. Prior to Acumatica, I worked extensively with QuickBooks, Dynamics, Sage, and NetSuite, giving me a broad perspective on ERP systems.
Today, at my third company running Acumatica, I serve as a Solutions Architect, overseeing the entire technology landscape where Acumatica is the backbone of our operations. Managing multiple tenants, companies, and branches, I focus on designing scalable solutions, optimizing integrations, and ensuring Acumatica aligns seamlessly with our broader business systems and strategic goals. This dynamic environment presents unique challenges, allowing my team and me to solve complex problems and share insights with the wider Acumatica community.
Beyond my role, I’m also a leader in the Utah Acumatica Users Group, where we bring together professionals to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and support one another’s growth. Through this, I’ve had the opportunity to consult on multiple projects, helping customers and VARs successfully navigate implementations and maximize their ERP investments.
I’m excited to continue sharing my expertise, learning from others, and helping businesses unlock Acumatica’s full potential. If you’re facing an ERP challenge or looking for insights, let’s connect and grow together!
