PO Recognition - PDF Extract

Hello I was curious if any has been able to use PO recognition - PDF Extract tool and was able to answer some of my questions.

  1. While watching the tutorial video, I noticed that they mention clicking the "Recognize" button, which then uses recognition algorithms to extract the important data and create the Sales Order. Are you able to highlight the fields you want to go into different sections, or do you rely on the algorithm to find all the right information?
  2. For those who have used it before, would you say it is pretty accurate in finding the information? I ask because my company has some complicated POs, and I was wondering if you can select and anchor information, similar to how UI Path does it with their automation systems.
  3. Is it able to read a PO that is more than one page? For example, some of the POs we receive extend to two pages or sometimes even three.

Thank you in advanced for your help.

Hi @JKrug,

There have been changes to the product after that recording.

Currently, the recognition process can be scheduled to work automatically, then the user needs to review the results of the process and generate the corresponding order.

I am not familiar with UI Path, so can’t say what is done there. The process behind the scenes is using an AI agent to extract the data from the PDF file, so it is able to adapt to different formats, so far most of the cases the data is accurate, but it is still an AI agent, so it is not going to be 100% accurate. Configuration mapping of the fields and PDF layout is not supported at the moment.

Currently, we allow processing multipage PDF documents.

Great, thank you so much for the clarification! I can't wait to use it. Since this is an add on, is their added cost to use it? Also where in the system can it be activated?

Thank you for the information! Is their a way to test it before purchase similar to a trial, or do you need to purchase to try it?

@JKrug, there is a test trial available, which does need to be paired with billable training time to ensure a successful testing period.
