To produce 2D barcodes easily with any type of data or barcode format, you should use Asgard Labels. To read them, Acumatica has a minimal support for GS1 but it could be extended by way of a customization.
Bruce, James is not entirely correct. Asgard Labels is the Fullfiled by Acumatica Labeling solution able to print labels without the Device Hub as we have our own dedicated Cloud Print client compatible with MacOS. If you want, we could meet up and I’ll send you the client that you can install and I will send a few test Zebra labels to see how it’s going. It should take around 5 minutes to validate. Asgard Labels is NOT an integration, it is native Acumatica. You click and it prints. Simple. One time use, why would you have that? Life is an endless stream of labels…
Hi meagan59, if you are interested in a demo of Asgard Labels, send us an email at info@asgardalliance.com.
@rvalentine11 Asgard Alliance is currently working with a VAR to create a full SMS 2-way integration (from CSR to customer and back with a separate phone number for each CSR) for a customer of theirs. It will support all of the features you have lined out. If you are interested, we could look at your requirements in more details and see where they would fit in our roadmap. We will be using Twilio for this customer but the architecture will be provider independent so it can be used on other SMS platforms.
@krausef77 Asgard Labels is now the official Fulfilled By Acumatica solution for printing labels with any barcode supported by your printers. It's already live for a few months with a customer in the Electronic industry using Datamatrix ISO 06 barcodes.
For those who are interested to know, I am using PrintNode to replace the Device Hub in our FBA Asgard Labels printing solution (https://www.acumatica.com/acumatica-marketplace/asgard-alliance-software-asgard-labels/). It is much easier to setup (just a login really), faster then the DH and more reliable. It also works regardless of the Acumatica version, so no need to change anything when upgrading.
Hi @Suddens, I disagree with the comment just before me. You can certainly use any HTTP call from Acumatica to any other cloud application even other protocols such as SMTP, AWS, etc. But yes, you would have to create a customization to do that. There is certainly a certain degree of difficulty to create a customization (really more for pros only) but it’s not harder for any version of Acumatica.
You will notice that sometimes you will use static methods (for which you need to pass the PXGraph instance). Other time, you will use instance values (such as your PXSelect queries), then you won’t need to pass it since it is already connected with the Graph. Anyhow, like Leonardo said, all queries run in conjonction with the PXGraph instance since the data is stored in PXCache instances inside of the PXGraph.
Yes it is a new solution. Let’s discuss your needs, write to me at sbelanger@asgardalliance.com.
