I know this is old, but I just did some testing on this topic. and wanted anyone else who comes across this to see the option I found which might have been added since this discussion. On the Change Request screen > Estimate tab it appears that you have to create a new commitment. When the change request is approved and added to a change order; the commitment changes will default in as a new commitment document, however, on the change order record you can go to the commitments tab and change the commitment type if needed and select an existing commitment to add the change to the existing commitment. Ideally this would be selected on the change request, but the process can be noted to make the changes needed once the request is added to the change order so that the existing commitments are modified.
Another option, if you only need to quickly find the dates, is to use the Source Data link on the Schema Browser (if your version has it).
Matt,Try adding a table to the GI that has the desired format such as APTran and then using the field with the desired format. If field is only used in the schema field you don’t have to add as a related table. I added an idea to have them generate a table with different datatypes that could be used for formatting. Vote for it if you think this would be helpful.Kevin
@laura01 Thanks! I figured I was missing it somewhere.
Are you using QuickBooks Enterprise? Or what version of QuickBooks?
Have you voted for the product idea for unit price billing? See the idea here. Hopefully this gets attention soon.
