Using the native Shopify Connector with Acumatica, we're looking to automate order fulfillment status updates. Specifically, when an order is finalized in Acumatica, we want it to automatically update the fulfillment status in the connected Shopify store. Is this functionality available within the native connector's configuration settings? If so, could you please guide me through the setup process?

@benviall , once the shipment is confirmed in Acumatica, you can push tracking data and mark the order as fulfilled in Shopify - yes, this is done automatically.

Hi benviall,

As usual, Yuri is right on.

This fooled me at first also.  From previous experience I thought that the change in the order status would trigger the update but of course it is the Shipment the connector uses to pass this info.  It does this really well and even works smoothly for partial shipments and multiple shipments.  And you can set the customer notification emails with tracking.

So don’t forget to set up a sync schedule for Shipments as well.

it’s interesting, the ACU Help doesn’t really have a dedicated section talking about fulfillment.   But to everyone’s point above, just like the other entities if you enable the shipment entity you can send information back to Shopify when the order is fulfilled in ACU.

here is some general information on the mappings:

depending on your volume ACU recommends a REAL-TIME sync configuration:

Another good point.  I am very cautious with Real Time especially to start.  As also warned in the docs.

“We recommend that you not enable real-time synchronization if you plan to change configuration settings or to perform mass-addition, mass-deletion, and mass-update operations, including by means of import scenarios. We also recommend that you start real-time synchronization only after you begin production use to avoid unnecessary server traffic during the implementation.”
