Production Order Clock Entry and Break Times

Forum|alt.badge.img

Client is using the clock entry to record labor on production orders.  The calendar has specific break times noted.  It appears that the employee has to clock out for breaks.  What is the point of setting up these break times if they are not taken into account in clock entry?  This just adds another set of clock in and clock out for the employee. Am I missing a setting?

What are the break times used for?  Seems just informational on the calendar.  (client is not using MFG - APS Module)

Any advice?

@TShoaff - Today this is only used for APS and production date calculations.

@Debbie Baldwin are there any plans to add this to Production Order clock entry?

If we do not keep employees disciplined enough to clock out for break and clock back in after break, direct labor hours will be overstated. Over the course of 12 months and 30-40 employees, that turns into a huge over statement of direct labor costs.

@nathantrauscht  - this is not on the near-term roadmap. Why don’t you add an idea and let’s see how much traction we get? We do look at this and it helps us to prioritize.
