Problem with Opportunity Amount with Estimating

Our client is using Estimating module and create estimate from Opportunity.

The Amount on the opportunity header however is not populated from Estimate, only from items added in tab Details. Example below: only standard item priced at $1000 gets added into Amount.

Is this by design and is this correct?
How can I see the correct potential sales of my opportunity of the Amount does not include my Estimate?

Hi @kristianharianja

The Estimates tab on the Opportunities screen in Acumatica ERP is used to create and manage cost estimates, pricing, or projected items for a sales opportunity. The data in this tab typically includes items, quantities, selling prices, and total estimated costs to provide the customer with a detailed estimate.

Tab Details: Shows more detailed information about the opportunity, which are the specific items/services with specific selling prices that you plan to sell.

In short. The Estimates tab in the Opportunities screen is primarily used to list the estimated costs or values required to secure that opportunity. This is where you build cost estimates for the products or services needed for the opportunity, giving the business an overview of the necessary budget before proceeding with the opportunity.

Best Regards,

NNT

The “Amount” field only shows the price of the Details of the opportunity, but the “Total” field displays the price of the opportunity Details plus the total price of the Estimate lines.

You would use the “Total” value to see the potential sale of your opportunity.
