Hi All,

I have a goal of getting orders out in three days. I am trying to make a dashboard view that over a given amount of time it calculates the percentage of orders that have went out in three days or under. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated on this, or feel free to ask questions if I am not being clear.

Thanks!

Hey @hstone !
You don’t mention what data point will indicate when an order has “Gone Out”, but I’m assuming it’s based on the Sales Order or Invoice status change?
Acumatica doesn’t by default, track status change dates. My advice would be to add a custom field with some custom event logic to to capture the date when the change occurs that indicates the order is completed. Then you can create a GI with a formula column to calculate the days between when the order was created and when it was completed based on the custom field value.
Then your dashboard KPI can find the percentage using that data.

Regards,

Hi Michael,

That is a correct assumption that it can be based on when the sales order goes to complete.

This makes a lot of sense, but I think I will need to do some research on how to create a custom field to get the gap in these dates as I am fairly new to creating customizations in Acumatica. The created on date and the complete date should be all that is required for me to get the feel of if we are meeting the requirement or not. Thank you for the guidance!

Heather

@hstone You’re welcome!

Yeah there’s certainly a learning curve, but there are a lot of resources available so you could probably figure it out. You could also work with your VAR to create the customization, or have a contract developer like @darylbowman do it for you.
