UK VAT Submit VAT Return error message "Tax Period not found on HMRC side"

HI There,

Does anyone use the UK VAT and be familiar with HMRC summit tax function.

The user is trying to submit January 2024 VAT return to HMRC.

But it shows “Cannot submit VAT Return - Tax Period not found on HMRC side.”

Users said that she logged into HMRC and don’t see anything different at HMRC platform end.

Has any consultants or UK VAT export met this message before and what should we do in ERP Acumatica side?

Have a Nice Day.

Regards,

David Lee

Hello @davidlee5 ,

Good Day to you!

Please review the following:

  1. On the External Applications (SM301000) screen check if the HMRC Account has been signed
  2. Check if the Authentication Token has expired on the External Applications (SM301000)screen, if so Sign In to the HMRC Account.
  3. Check that correct Tax ID is set on Companies (CS101500) screen

Kind Regards,

Amaan

Thanks for your reply!
let me check these steps with user if information is correct or not.

And I would like to clarify the question -

  1. the External Applications Screen shows as bellow, it seem the account is expired right?
so I would ask user to resign in to check the HMRC account status by click “Sign in”.
    1. The Tax ID is set on Companies is field “Tax Registration ID”

Thanks for your helpful support!

Nave a nice Day,
