Hi @eshahid98,
A resource equipment is an item that is owned by your company and that the technician takes with them to help them perform an appointment. For example, a Laptop or a Drill.
There is no option of creating resource equipment items from PO Receipts. The resource equipment items are only created manually through the Equipment (FS205000) form or, if you have an equipment created under your Organization, this is, the EP208000 form, you can use the action of Extend to SM Equipment and it will create a document on the field service form.
You can schedule a Resource equipment to an Appointment using the Resource Equipment tab. To assign a Resource Equipment to a Service Order you first need to go to the Service Management Preferences form and set Enable Default Resource Equipment in Service Orders checkbox to true; this will enable the Default Resource Equipment tab on the Service Order.
At the moment there is no option for the system to warn or prevent assigning a resource equipment to two or more overlapping appointments although you can see the history (on the Equipment form, the Resource Equipment History action) to identify when the item is available or busy.
Here are a few ideas that are related to improving Resource Equipment functionality:

On the other hand, a target equipment is an item than can be serviced. Typically it is an item owed by your customers but you can also set a resource equipment as an target equipment. This will indicate that you not only use the item to help you perform the appointments but also that you service and maintain your own equipment items.
Target equipment items are created manually through the Equipment (FS205000) form or, if sold to a customer, they can be setup to automatically create a target equipment.
Hope it answers your questions.
