A client is preparing to upgrade to 2020 R2 (Construction and Manufacturing) using a sandbox to evaluate and test enhancements of interest before upgrading.  I appreciate all the postings from Acumatica Support and others describing upgrade considerations and known issues.  This post is directed more specifically to users:  what unanticipated problems have you encountered using Acumatica ERP following the upgrade?

The big issues are workflow changes can cause issues.  So for example some reports hanging off the report menu on a sales order, might need to be redone through the new workflow engine if done a version or two ago.

We also noticed some generic inquiries tied to entry screens since they are considered rely on the automation in some scenarios any customizations to the workflow engine might need to be looked at.

 

We have upgraded many customers and this happened only in a few situations, so its not common but definitely a place to look.

 

With a proper sandbox test, these issues should get flushed out there.
