     To someone who also be interested in this question. I do find a way to make things easier. Which is written in Acumatica’s help doc,  we DO can leverage the ability of customization projects.

    Just create a new customization project, and add the dashboard into it. It would automatically add all inquires behind the dashboard along with it.

    Now, you can publish this project directly on this tenant, and another tenant would share it.
   Or, you can also export this project out, and move to another instance which is not on same server.

Thank you, this is the way I used. 

I am trying to add a Dashboard to a customization project. I select ‘Dashboards’ in the left pane, then click the ‘+’. I am able to select the dashboard in the pop up window and hit Save. However, the dashboard record never shows in the list. The GIs are added though.

What could be the issue?

Hello, can you provide the version you are using. And a screenshot to describe your issue would be even better. I did not encounter the issue you mentioned, if it is a rare case, I suggest you submit a case to acumatica support team for further investigation.

The following steps can be done next:

1. Publish - Validate Current Project
2. File export project package
3. Login into the tenant where the project should publish
4. Import package
5. Publish project
