How does PO approvals work on projects with multiple projects on the lines?

We have a client that does PO’s which contain expense lines for multiple Projects.

If you have PO approvals setup by project who does the PO approval request go to?

Suppose one PO has three projects with three managers.  Depending on how you set up the approval, it could be that any one of the project managers could approve the document, or that All project managers whose projects are on the PO need to approve the PO. Is up to you; the setting I’m referring to is on Rule Actions tab:

Hello,

The answer depends on the design of your approval map.

Here is an example of Change Requests being routed to the Approver on the Project’s Defaults tab.

 

 

Here is an example of the AP Bill being routed to the Project Manager:

Notice:  Employee is not set to a specific employee id or to the company tree, but to a field related to the document being approved.  I circled the button we use to expand the list of available fields.
