i have a client who wants to track costs by square footage for labor and material.  would the best method be to create a conversion for square footage to hours.  the client also has the payroll module so i’m wondering how the actual payroll hours/amounts would translate to the project.

TIA

Hi @iqraharrison48

You may want to look at the new progress worksheet we introduced with 2022 R2.  It allows capturing units/quantities completed at a cost budget line level.  In 2023 R1 we are rolling out a Progress Report that may help your scenario too.  Seeing that labor will probably be one cost budget line and material another, you can look to the quantities completed as a possible mechanism for tracking/reporting.  We will be adding things around this area in the future, but I wanted to offer you some suggestions for current availability.

Thanks.

Joel
