Dashboard Project weather

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi team,

This is in standard Project Dashboard which call Project weather.

Can I know which is the recommended URL to use as the rest of the Api in the documentations are for Daily field report usage?

We already try to do some testing, but the following weather map doesn’t work on the dashboard.

Refer to attach image.

@yansiongyu54 , I believe the opening of new windows is site dependent, outside of Acumatica.

Using this URL, https://www.accuweather.com/en/my/malaysia-weather, I was able to click within the widget and it did not open new windows.

Hi @yansiongyu54

The Dashboard reference is to any URL you assign.  The demo data included one for weather underground, they changed some things which results in what you are seeing.

You can try the national weather service, https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=27.290647500000034&lon=-82.49205999999998#.YLecmKhKhhE,  This is a default for Tampa Bay, FL, you could put a local zip code in and copy the URL to make it more personal to the prospect or client.

The information used for Daily Field Reporting is specific to weather services that can return values via API.  Those can be obtained by going to the specific weather service, creating a free account and entering the information within Project Management Preferences / Weather Service.

Hope this helps!

Hi, Joelhoffman.

The solution that you provide is useful and the result on dashboard is successful, but our location is not in United States, are there any other URL/Website that can provide worldwide weather report on the Dashboard?

Thanks for the solution, the site is available, but the problem is that after we search for the area we want, it opens a link to a new window. Is there another solution that can let us stay in the Acumatica project dashboard page? Sorry to trouble you and very thanks for your help.
