Disable VOID button for AP Clerk Role?

Hello, I’m trying to disable the VOID button for our AP Clerk Role in Checks & Payments screen. Does anyone know how to do this?

The reason that is happening is the level above it is also set to Inherited.  Check the Payment level and change it to something other than Inherited (ie. Edit, Insert, Delete).  When you attempt to set a particular access node to something other than Inherited and it changes back to Inherited, it means the level above it is also set to Inherited.

@rcourtright,

To disable the VOID button, you will need to revoke access to the Void action.  The most efficient way to do this is in Access Rights by Screen (SM201020).

This access node is found in Payables > Checks and Payments > Payment.

The result is the TEST role is not able to see this button in the Checks and Payments (AP302000) screen.

Normally, the VOID command would appear in these two areas.

Hope this helps!

@ed.goodman Thank you!  This is SUPER helpful.  I got through the screens as shown but it won’t let me save the access right as “revoked” it defaults back to inherited when I tried to save it.  Any thoughts on as to why?
