When we export shipment from Acumatica to Shopify, could we export the tracking number as well?

Yes you can export tracking number from Acumatica to BigCommerce/Shopify. To do so you nee to put tracking numbers in the line with box under Packages Tab.

Keep in mind following rules: When shipments that include multiple boxes with separate tracking numbers are exported from Acumatica ERP to BigCommerce or Shopify, the system checks if the following conditions are met: 

• Each item in the shipment is linked with a particular box. If an item is not assigned to any box, the system displays an error. 

• Each box in the shipment contains at least one item. If a box is not assigned at least one item, the system displays an error. 

During the synchronization of shipments with Shopify or BigCommerce, for each box in the shipment, a separate shipment with a separate tracking number is created in the online store. Boxes that don't have any items assigned or are missing a tracking number are not exported to the online store.

@smarenich what about Purchase Receipt? How can an user send tracking number from Purchase Receipt to eCommerce site?

Hi @KarthikGajendran,

Thank you for the great question! Indeed, if your order is a Drop Shipment, than you will complete it using the Purchase Receipt which has no packages/tracking numbers information.
However in this case connector will export Purchase Receipt Vendor Ref. as a tracking number to Shopify/BigCommerce

Do we have a better solution for this?  Typical workflow is to not create a bill at the time of purchase receipt creation. Plus that vendor reference if for the Ap Invoice number.

@gmercede  You can certainly use a custom/UDF field for this purpose and add that field in the entities mapping or do it using customization. We will request the distribution team to see if they can add the tracking number field in the Purchase receipt form.

Can both regular shipments and purcase receipts work for this? It won’t allow two rows pointing the tracking number field.

@smarenich  -is there a way to consolidate multiple packages into one single shipment ideally groupped by tracking number. We are having issue where the system is creating multiple shipment for multiple packages with the same tracking #. Issue with that is it is tiggering multiple notification emails.

@mali94  Today it simply creates the shipment in Shopify based on the number of tracking numbers. That is if there are 3 tracking numbers then 3 shipments will be created in Shopify. 

Your ask is valid. So we have created a ticket with engineering to group the tracking numbers. 

Meaning, though there are multiple tracking numbers in the Acumatica Shipment, the connector will first group it by identical tracking numbers first and then create the shipment accordingly in Shopify.

@KarthikGajendran Thank you - Although you mentioned shopify the client we had is using BG - None the less it will be nice to have it in both
