I'm facing an issue with a production order where the total quantity to produce was set to 11 units. However, the system shows that 22 units have been completed, even though the operator only received 11 units.
Does anyone have insights into why the completed quantity is doubling, or what might be causing this discrepancy? Any advice on how to resolve this would be appreciated!

My assumption would be that someone either made a typo or they entered the Move transaction twice accidentally. I would recommend checking your Production Order Type settings under the “Data Entry Settings” section as shown below. One of the most important settings I have found is setting “Under Issue Material” to Warn or Do Not Allow instead of Allow. There is also “Excess Qty for Operations” and “Excess Qty. For Orders”. I typically leave this to Allow because it will completely prevent over-production which is often necessary due to yield variances.
I assume you have Under Issue Material set to Allow which would not prevent Acumatica from performing the Move when you do not have enough raw materials. One thing to be aware of when using this function is that you need to hit Save on the Move Transaction before hitting Release. This function does work but if you just hit Release without hitting Save, Acumatica does not perform the check and the Warning is never displayed.
Notice how I have not hit Save? But I can hit Release
Hitting Save triggers Acumatica to evaluate the screen and prompts me with a Warning.
If you have this set to Do Not Allow and you are still having overproduction issues let us know but my first and most likely guess is the above settings.

yes, theyaccidentally received the same operation twice or entered the Move transaction twice. How can we prevent the duplication of the move transaction to ensure that the same operation is not received twice?
