Production order line materials are not picking the default warehouse on stock item

Hi all,

I am creating a Production order using a configuration, I don’t have default warehouse nominated on my configuration lines. instead I am expecting the default issue warehouse on stock item or on item warehouse detail takes precedence of which warehouse the item should be issued from. by the look of the behavior it picks the warehouse attached to the work center instead. why is it behaving like this? we can’t ask a customer to override every line !

configurator setup

item warehouse detail setup

stock item setup

the way it appears on the production line

it should be picking shed 2 not the Fin Goods warehouse. not sure where is this going wrong?

Thanks

Hi @GhazalSh

I’m sorry, I don’t use the configuration module.

However, from experience, if you/your client have more than one production facility,  which needs uses a work center that is the same as another warehouses, you should create work centers for each warehouse.

Another thing is where the production order is set to, again I do not use the Confguration Module so I’m not sure if applicable, but there is the below setting that needs to be ticked to substitute warehouses within a production order.

Hope this helps,

Aleks

HI @GhazalSh

This stems from the warehouse being on the BOM.

If you remove the warehouse from the BOM Material line, this should sort it out.

You can do this fairly easily with an Import Scenario.

Hi @aiwan

thanks for looking in this. This particular line doesn’t exist on my BOM material. It flows from option selection on product configuration. On the configuration material line there is no warehouse and location as you see on the screenshot. Where else could this be picked from?
thanks
