Warehouse locations resetting to read as Storage instead of new value updated

Hi Guys,

First timer here!

We are using Acumatica version 2021 R2 Build 21.212.0039. We updated the storage locations (Default Receipt To and Default Issue From) for each stock item to read as something else other than the default value of 'Storage'. This was done through Import Scenario and the update went through without any problems and both values updated successfully. However, on checking the same list a few days later, it seems that the Default Receipt To value has reset back to read as ‘Storage’.

Import Scenario

How to ensure that this value does not revert back to read as Storage because from the end result, the purpose of having different locations is defeated? If this is not something that is expected, has this issue been addressed and fixed in version 2023 R2 Build 23.207.0025  (we shall be upgrading to this version soon)?

Please advise.

Hello,

Customizations may be published in different tenants, and possibly be active in all tenants, depending on the customization (check the same screen in all tenants).

We can see from a screenshot that active customizations are present, but we can’t know for sure every screen that is updated by a customization, with just the picture.

Please let us know the results of updating the default locations with no customizations published.

Hello @ManishPatel132008 , Welcome!

If Default Receipt To and Default Issue From are “magically” changed from your imported value, I think this is not a Bug.  More likely, the fields are being updated from another source, such as synchronization with another system, such as eCommerce (Shopify, BigCommerce, TrueCommerce etc.), or synchronization through custom integration with other external systems, or updated via Business Events.

Thanks @Laura02 for the prompt response.

However, we do not have any synchronization with any other 3rd party apps or even Business Events to trigger this change. If at all, there was one, it would have updated only one record's value but not all the items. The Last Modified By and Last Modified On values are the same as that when the Import Scenario was run. We want to delete (or mark Inactive) this value of Storage to aid with Stock Count Sheets and Stock Count Update in addition to the routine receipt and issue of the inventory item(s). Is there any other explanation to this? How can this be fixed such that the Default Receipt To value does not revert back to read as ‘Storage’ again?

Hello,

Can you show the published customizations in Customization Projects screen (if any)?

If you have customizations, then please try with all Customizations temporarily un-published. If you update Default Receipt To and Default Issue From again, using your Import Scenario... do they Revert while Customizations are not published?

Hi @Laura02,

Copied below is the screenshot of Customization Projects. None seems to be related to Warehouse Locations.
