Generic Inquiry Groupings - Items being omitted

Forum|alt.badge.img

Can anyone tell me why inventory items are being omitted from the GI when I group by Inventory Id and Financial Period?

This is a sample of items that are on the GI when I do not have groupings active. They become omitted when groupings are active:

I do not see why they wouldn’t be included after groupings are active.

I am also having issues with the warehouse filter.

When I filter by inventory ID only:

Versus when I add a warehouse filter. More periods are added to the results.

Add the SiteID (Warehouse ID) as to the grouping fields.

Your key for the record is the combination of the Inventory ID, Warehouse, Fin Period.

The records are considered duplicates in your grouping if the Inventory ID and Fin Period match with your current setup.

So if you have the same item in the same period in 2 warehouses only 1 will be shown.

Your GI is taking as the base data INItemSiteHist and then “inner” joining InventoryItem and INSite(Warehouse) tables.

Basically, this means if the item is not in the INItemSiteHist table (for example, no transactions were processed with that item), then it will be excluded from the result set.

Technically, grouping by Fin Period ID shouldn’t change the result set much after that as the data already will not contain items that don’t have INItemSiteHist record.

That appears to have corrected the issue. Thank you so much!
