Is there a way to set up Automatic Packaging by Vendor?
Example, 5-gallon pails automatically select NONE for the Box ID as we stopped shipping them in boxes.
Except, Amazon requires their order be shipped in a box.
Is there somewhere I can set a filter that if the order is from Amazon, to use 5Gal as the Box ID?
Yes, you can configure Automatic Packaging by Vendor in Acumatica by using Shipment Rules or Order Processing Customization. However, Acumatica does not natively support packaging selection based on vendors in the standard UI. You can achieve this in two ways:
Option 1: Use a Custom Business Event or Workflow (Recommended)
Create a Business Event:
Go to System Management → Business Events.
Create a new event that triggers when a Sales Order is created or when a specific Vendor (Amazon) is selected.
Set up an Action to update the Packaging option for orders from Amazon.
Modify the Packaging Assignment:
Use an Automation Step to check if the Vendor = Amazon and assign the 5GAL box instead of NONE.
Option 2: Customize Packaging Selection in Sales Order Processing
Add a Custom Field for Vendor-Specific Packaging:
In Customization Projects, modify the Sales Order Screen (SO301000) to include a new field that checks if the customer is Amazon.
Apply a Custom Rule to Packaging Selection:
Write a Business Logic Rule to override the default packaging method if the order is from Amazon.
This could be done through a small piece of code in a customization project.
Option 3: Use Shipping Rules (If Available)
Some Acumatica versions support Shipping Rules per customer or warehouse.
Check if you can define a rule under Sales Orders > Preferences > Shipping Settings to enforce the required packaging type.

Can you have a separate UOM for Amazon orders? Mostly just a different name for ‘EA’ (Each) measure, used exclusively on Amazon, so that you can assign a Box for that UOM.
