Question

UOM Conversion - Divide not changing Sales Prices

In the image below, our stock item has a base UOM of EACH and weighs 3060 LB so we added a UOM Conversion. Our Price is 3.59 per LB. When the sales order is placed for 1x EACH I would expect the price to be $10985.40 but shows up as $0. This behavior does not seem to be the same if Base UOM is LB and the conversion is to EACH.  Can anyone tell me why this setup is not working?

Under Sales Orders Preferences, check the option “Use Price Adjustment multiplier”

A check box that (if selected) causes the system to calculate prices for non-base units of measure by using the price adjustment factor along with the conversion factor. If the check box is cleared, the system ignores the price adjustment factor when calculating prices.

This setting is currently checked in our system. The price adjustment seems to work fine when the Base UOM is the smallest Unit of Measure, but it almost seems like since the Base UOM in the first example is larger than the conversion rate, the system is having issues with it?

Here is an example of it working….

Yeh so makes sense that it needs the price for the base unit of measure if that preference is ticked as it calculates from the base.

If it is not ticked, then you would specify the price for the different units of measure as well as the base in the sales prices screen.

Are you using the same Customer on the SO that is defined in Sales Prices?

Yes, I did make sure of that before posting. This is a functionality our old ERP had. Base UOM was EACH but a Conversion rate to LB’s made it so our sales team could always price each customer uniquely per LB.

I guess I am a little bit confused because here is an instance where the BASE UOM is LB and the price UOM is set to EACH. This calculates correctly and no base price exists.
