PTO accrual by service anniversary

Hello!

Does anyone have any clients who accrue their PTO by anniversary date and not calendar date?

How do you handle that?

Thank you!

This is handled by the date you enter into the “Start Date” once the PTO Bank code is assigned to the employee record on Payroll Employee Settings screen.

FYI - Acumatica doesn’t have the ability to reset on an anniversary date. It will look at the date on the PTO bank itself and disregard what is on the employee file for a reset date.

Here is some information regarding the calculation of PTO as it relates to carryover vacation time.

  • Calendar Date based carryover. This is currently supported by Acumatica. The System uses the date on the PTO bank to calculate all carryover.
  • Anniversary Date based carryover. This is currently planned for a future release. This will enable carryover to be calculated on a different date for each employee.

Some screen images:

PTO Bank Settings: The Start Date describes the day-of-the-year when carryover is calculated for all employees

Employee Payroll Settings: the Effective Date is the start of the plan for this employee ... it is not used to recalculate PTO carryover for this specific employee

Tiered PTO is available with release 2024 R1 and you can have it based on a specific date for all employees or by the employee’s anniversary date.

Refer to 24R1 Release Notes for complete details.
