Question

New Acumatica Instance Error

Hello.
I have an existing Acumatica Instance deployed on a AWS EC2 Windows Instance and I’m trying to move it to a new AWS instance.
I installed the Acumatica Configuration Wizard (using the current version) on the new server and clicked on Deploy a new acumatica Instance. I then connected to my SQL server and chose  the existing database option and selected the database from the list of databases. However after clicking next - an error message appears saying: Database version cannot be empty, but the problem is I don’t see any field where to input the database version. (see attached screenshot).

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hi @boulton86

1/. Please check if there are any errors in the Database when moving to the new server.
2 / Please check if the Acumatica version of Site Version and DB Version are 100% the same?

Best Regards,

NNT

Hi @boulton86

I can only suspect the database may not be good. Did you take a backup and restore the backup on SQL on new server?

Are you able to access the database using SQL enterprise manager and run query on this database?

You may try taking another backup and restore it (new database backup) and check.

Also, I have noticed 3 databases on the server. Are you able to connect any one of them?

Can you create a new instance, just to isolate if the issue is related to specific database only.

Regards,

Hi @vkumar Thanks for the reply.

The database seems to be good. The current instance is running fine with that same database. I will try to do a Database Repair from the current instance and see if that solves the issue.

Thanks.
