Differences in OData URL Format in Documentation

Hello,

I noticed that various instructions, including the latest 24R2 developer release notes, specify that the URL for the generic inquiry-based OData interface is:

<Acumatica ERP instance URL>/t/<TenantName>/api/odata/gi

The I300 university video and the only way it works for me is:
<Acumatica ERP instance URL>/OData/<TenantName>/<giname>

The latest help.acumatica.com article specifies using the /api/odata method as well, even though I have never seen that work.

Thanks!

@terpstra please see the release notes for 24r2.

https://acumatica-builds.s3.amazonaws.com/builds/24.2/ReleaseNotes/AcumaticaERP_2024R2_ReleaseNotes_for_Developers.pdf

The new way is <Acumatica ERP instance URL>/t/<TenantName>/api/odata/gi, it’s available starting from 24r2.

The old way will be available for some time for backward compatibility (likely till 2026r2)

Got it.

I see that specifying a tenant name is no longer optional.

That explains some of our 404 errors and why it did not appear to work.

I will make sure our developers start using the new format moving forward.

Thank you!
